Every planet is a source of light, and not all light works the same way. The Sun generates its own. The Moon holds none, and reflects everything it receives. A gemstone shapes how that light reaches you. A round, opaque stone disperses it gently: calming, protective. A clear, faceted stone gathers and intensifies it. Neither is better. Each does a different work, and the work must match the chart.

A Stone is not chosen, 
it is read

There is no lucky stone for a sign, a birth month, or a name. The right stone, the right weight, the right number, whether a stone is called for at all: this is read from your birth chart. Your lagna, your ārūdha, the daśā you are living through. A stone chosen well steadies health, wealth, and mind. A stone chosen carelessly strengthens the wrong planet entirely, and what was meant to protect begins to amplify. Prescription is deliberate for this reason. It cannot be decorative.

I'm a certified gemologist, trained at the Gemological Institute of America in Bangkok, one of the great trading centers of the gem world, in stone identification, quality, and sourcing. I've studied and prescribed Jyotish gemstones for years, and I'm currently deepening that work through the Navaratna Jyotiṣa Course, a focused, formal training under Pt. Sanjay Rath, undertaken in pursuit of excellence.

It is a rare pairing: the gemological eye that knows what a stone is, and years of classical training in what a stone does.
